What’s For Dinner This Week? A Family Meal Plan

So you’ve got your magnetic meal planner, now you need to fill it with meals!

In this week’s blog, I’ve created a list of 7 delicious and fast meals for you to fill your planner with. Including links to recipes with shopping lists.

Set aside some time on Sunday to grab your groceries and then feel the freedom of having your meal ideas sorted for the rest of the week.

Monday

Quick and easy for Monday is this Mexican chicken bowl. Lots of colourful veggies and tasty chicken for a Monday when time for meal prep is limited.

Any leftovers, or simply double the quantity, and this nutritious meal can easily be stored in the fridge ready for a quick and easy lunch for the next day.

Tuesday

Another quick, easy and cheap meat-free meal is this haloumi cous cous salad. Just dial down or leave out the spice to make it kid-friendly.

Wednesday

Quick and easy chicken and vegetable risotto is the ultimate Wednesday family comfort food. This recipe is super fast to make and includes plenty of veg and lean protein for a healthy crowd-pleaser dinner.

Thursday

Lose your meatballs over this fast family favourite, spaghetti and meatballs. you can buy the meatballs pre-made to save time, or you could opt to make the meatballs and freeze on a day when you have time.

Friday

Craving a burger? Make yours Homestyle with this delicious and fast burger recipe, sure to keep the kids happy.

You could easily throw some frozen chips in the oven to complete this Friday treat.

Saturday

Family pleaser chicken and pasta bake. It’s covered in crispy cheese, and will make enough to feed your family, with some left over for tomorrow’s lunch.

Sunday

For Sunday, when you may have more time to set the slow cooker, try this beef rendang recipe with fragrant jasmine rice.

This recipe freezes well, simply thaw and add some fresh steamed vegetables for a quick weeknight meal.

Things that make you go mmm… With a small weekly time investment, you can take the stress out of meal planning, and save money and time by avoiding multiple grocery runs to the supermarket.
